Research Activities:

The Departmental faculty members are engaged in regular research on a host of subjects in various fields of history like History of Peasant and Labour Movement in Colonial India; Formation of State and Urbanization in Early Medieval South India; Pallava and Chola Kingship; Water Management System in Early Medieval Eastern Coastal India; Politics of Hindu Mahasabha; Tagore, Nationalism and History; Voicing The Gender Partition: The Other Side of His-Story; History of Hindu Mahasabha: Philosophy; Politics , Society and Urbanization In Early India.
