Prevention of Sexual Harassment

Sexual Harassment: Any act or behaviour of any kind of –a) Physical contact or advances, b) a demand or request for sexual favours  c) sexually coloured remark d) showing pornography e) any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non verbal conduct of sexual nature  will be treated as  Sexual harassment in the workplace and results a violation of the fundamental rights of a woman to equality under articles 14 and 15 of the Constitution of India and her right to life and to live with dignity under article 21 of the Constitution and right to practice any profession or to carry on any occupation, trade or business which includes a right to a safe environment free from sexual harassment.

      Procedure to lodge complaint: An approved committee comprising members representing distinct designation along with phone nos. are uploaded time to time at this site and also this  list of members are displayed at various corners of the college premises. Any victim may contact with any of the suitable member either directly through phone or written or to communicate with the Principal by any means of communication. At the time of complaint the passage of time will not be treated an issue.

  Redressal mechanism and time frame: After complaint lodge a meeting of Sexual Harassment Cell is convened within two working days after the day of complaint. At the discussion victim may be requested to present physically for submission before the members present and finally it is redressed within three days after lodging of complaint.
